Two Ways to Enjoy the Season Close to Home
Spring is a great time to step away from the daily routine and enjoy a couple of local events — whether you’re in the mood for a good laugh or a good meal.
First up, Ripcord at Baytown Little Theater is well worth the trip. Set in a senior living facility, the story follows two very different women forced to share a room. What begins as a simple bet quickly turns into a series of clever and escalating pranks, delivering plenty of laughs along with a surprisingly thoughtful look at friendship, aging, and resilience. We saw it last Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it — and it’s always fun to support one of our own Fox team members on stage.
If your idea of a good evening leans more toward food and music, the IPSSA Houston Crawfish Boil is coming up on April 18th from 3:00–8:00 PM at Billy’s Hall in Pearland. Expect crawfish, food trucks, games, and a lively crowd — a classic spring gathering with something for everyone.
Whether you’re catching a play or cracking crawfish, it’s a good reminder that some of the best parts of the season happen just outside the workday.
